Transfer to ALZHIR – Akmola camp for the wives of traitors of Motherland
After breakfast excursion to ALZHIR – Akmola camp for the wives of traitors of Motherland - one of the largest camps of Soviet Union and one of the three "islands" of the "Gulag Archipelago". The camp was opened in the beginning of 1938, when it received the first prisoners - mostly members of the families of traitors. According to incomplete data, the number of repressed victims exceeded 18,000 convicts.
The excursion is to show what the region and city looked like in the past and into what it turned eventually.

Visiting the National Museum.
This huge blue-glass-and-white-marble museum covers the history and culture of Kazakhstan from ancient to modern times. Themed halls comprise interactive displays and artifact exhibits, ranging from a yurt in the Hall of Ethnography to a chronicle of the capital's modern history in the Hall of Astana. Don't miss the Golden Hall, which houses several thousand Bronze Age ornaments from the famed 'Golden Man' (a national symbol of Kazakhstan) – a 3rd- or 4th-century warrior whose gold-clad remains were uncovered in 1969.
- Palace of Peace and Reconciliation: The Palace of Peace and Reconciliation is a symbol of friendship, unity and peace in Kazakhstan. The Pyramid has a pure form, 62 meters high and 62 meters base. At the top there is a picture of 130 doves that symbolize 130 nationalities living in Kazakhstan. (no visit inside);
- Khazret Sultan Mosque: Hazret Sultan Mosque is the second largest mosque in Central Asia. The building is constructed in the classic Islamic style using traditional Kazakh ornaments. The Mosque is named after Sufi sheikh Khoja Ahmed Yassawi and is large enough to house over 10,000 people. (possible visit inside, guests have to follow a strict dress code for visiting mosque: no open sleeved clothes, no shorts and tights – fitting pants and skirts, women have to cover their heads with scarf, everyone has to wear socks);
- Palace of Independence - is a place for official state functions. The Palace of Independence also features a modern art gallery, the gallery of applied art and ethnography, archeology and anthropology, and the Museum of City History of Astana. (no visit inside);
